Air show in Smyrna promises high-flying thrills

Catch a thrilling show in the sky at the Great Tennessee Air Show in Smyrna. Families can catch high- and low-flying tricks from the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the Screamin' Sasquatch (a biplane with a jet engine), the U.S. Marine Corps C-130 Hercules airlifter Fat Albert and more. Kids also can play in a special kids' zone.

Activities begin at 8 a.m., and the show starts at noon Saturday and Sunday at the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport, 278 Doug Warpoole Road.

Tickets are $25, $12 for ages 4-12 in advance; $30, $15 for children at the show. Premium box seats are $40 and Flight Line Club seats are $125, $75 for children, in advance only.
