Wizz Air Expands network in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe*, announced today that it will expand its operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina this summer by adding 2 new services from Tuzla to Dortmund and Eindhoven. The flights to Dortmund will commence on 19 June with 3 weekly frequencies, while the Tuzla – Eindhoven service will be operated 2 times a week starting from 22 June.

With this expansion Wizz Air is now offering 13 weekly flights on 5 routes to 4 countries from Bosnia and Herzegovina, representing 60% capacity growth year on year (July 2014). Seats on the new Tuzla routes are already on sale from just EUR 39.99** and can be booked on wizzair.com.

At a press conference in Sarajevo today, György Abrán, Chief Commercial Officer at Wizz Air said: "Today’s announcement underlines Wizz Air’s commitment to Bosnia and Herzegovina. We started our operations in Tuzla less than a year ago, and we welcome that Bosnian consumers are enthusiastic about our low fares and that the residents of Tuzla Canton already discovered our low fare routes to Gothenburg, Malmo and Basel Mulhouse Freiburg. Today we are announcing 2 new routes to Germany and the Netherlands and we hope these will be highly popular among consumers, stimulate job growth and benefit the tourism and aviation sectors as we look forward to bringing more low fares to Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
