Iran's parliamentary delegation prohibited from passing through US airspace

The United States has prohibited a planned flight to be made by Iran'sparliamentary delegation through US airspace.

The flight had been scheduled to pass over the US territory on Monday on its way to Latin America.

Following the decision, the flight was cancelled by the operator, Aeroflotairlines reported.

Iranian officials say they will choose another route and airline for the trip.

Iran's parliamentary delegation headed by chairman of the parliament'sNational Security Committee, Alaedin Boroujerdi, is scheduled to go on a tour in Latin America.
