Traffic soaring at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport

Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport reports it has provided services to 18 million passengers since the beginning of the year.
Passenger traffic on international airlines from January-July reached 10.55 million, and on domestic airlines increased by 23.7%, totalling 7.3 million, the gateway says.
The volume of passengers provided with services in July 2014 grew by 8.2% compared with the same period last year.
This included three million 371,000 passengers, and traffic on international airlines in July reached two million passengers, and on domestic airlines it rose by 25.5%, reaching 1.3 million.
In January-July 2014 Antalya, Paris, Prague, and Beijing were among the most popular foreign destinations, with St. Petersburg, Simferopol, Sochi, and Krasnodar among the most sought-after domestic destinations.
The bulk of passenger-traffic gains observed in the seven months was provided by Aeroflot, Transaero, Donavia, Nordwind, Orenburg Airlines, Nordavia, and Air France.
In January-July 2014, Sheremetyevo Airport handled 146,966 take-off-and-landing operations, which is 5.9% more than in the same period in 2013, while in July, the overall volume of take-off and-landing operations grew by 2.3%, reaching 23,438 operations.
