New Wizz Air Crew Center opens

Pilots and flight attendants of Wizz Air can prepare for flights at a new base completed in Terminal 2 of Ferenc Liszt International Airport which is more spacious, more comfortable, and more modern than their previous facility. In the new crew center equipped with locker rooms, showers, and a kitchenette, pilots receive relevant information about their next flights as well as meteorological reports and all other important data required for the smooth and safe completion of their flights.

The 325-square-meter Crew Center offers spacious and peaceful conditions for 90 pilots and 194 flight attendants of Wizz Air. The premises were refurbished by the Property Management Directorate of Budapest Airport in line with the requirements of the new tenant. A number of computer terminals ensure that pilots can download all information about their next flights, about the destination airports, the weather, and last but not least, about how many passengers they will be carrying.

In the briefing room, all Wizz Air crews on duty will have the opportunity to prepare for flights in a pleasant environment. Here returning crews may also have their lunch or dinner, change, and discuss their experiences of the flights. All necessary conditions are given for this, as the Budapest base of Wizz Air is the most elegant and biggest base of the airline. The opening ceremony of the new crew center was held today in the presence of executives of Wizz Air and Budapest Airport.

“I am certain that my colleagues will quickly take to the new base where they can prepare for flights in a facility which is a lot more convenient and up-to-date than the previous one,” underlined Diederik Pen, operations director of Wizz Air.

“We understand with pleasure that our partners at the airport are satisfied with the facilities we hand over and they quickly get used to them,” said Rene Droese, property director of Budapest Airport. He added, “We did everything we could to ensure the most comfortable work conditions for Wizz Air crews, as we do understand how important it is for them in their line of work.”
